Take A Walk Up Doi Suthep
One of the most notable landmarks in Chiang Mai is the mountain which looks over the city, called Doi Suthep. At the top of the mountain, is Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, which is a popular place to visit for many tourists. You can either take the funicular railway to the top of the mountain to visit the temple or walk up the 309 steps which will take you to the top. If you are then on a clear day, you will enjoy spectacular views of the city and surrounding countryside, as you walk around the temple complex.
